Our History

Since its founding in 1969, Fedima has been one of the main retreading agents on a European scale. With 85 employees and a daily production of over 500 tyres, Fedima leads in the variety of tyres produced. Strongly committed to product innovation.

The internationalisation process began 20 years ago, leading to 55% of total production volume being exported, with a range of 30 products. In 1980, two brands were registered that provide a full range of tyres for all types of vehicles and uses: passenger, competition, 4×4, light trucks, and agriculture.

Quality Policy

Since its foundation, RECAUCHUTAGEM 31’s management has established the motto: “We produce Quality” and since then it has progressively evolved in order to ensure its credibility and maintain its recognition.

RECAUCHUTAGEM 31 wants to be recognised in the market as the company in the sector with ‘the most varied production in the world’, supported by constant product innovation.

In this context, the Board of Directors has defined its Quality Policy as satisfying the needs and expectations of Customers and other interested parties by offering a diverse range of products with the confidence and quality required and in accordance with the applicable requirements.

The continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, the identification of the needs of customers and other interested parties, the constant monitoring of the technological evolution of equipment and the improvement of employee performance are fundamental principles for the realisation of the Quality Policy and the consequent improvement in the quality of the products supplied and the services provided.

The Management of RECAUCHUTAGEM 31 takes on Quality as an integral part of its management policy, committing itself to ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System in accordance with the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, and to continually improving its performance and effectiveness. It is also responsible for making the Quality Policy available, communicating, understanding and applying it at all levels of the organisation.

In 1998, we expanded our production area to 15,000m² to increase and improve the quality of our offer. Fedima has been certified according to NP EN ISO 9001, in line with the Portuguese Quality System, since 2000.

Since April 2002, our products have been approved under UNECE regulations 108 and 109.

A rigorous production process with constant investment in technology determines the highest quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers.
